Cervical cancer remains a significant health concern for women in Singapore, yet it is one of the most preventable forms of cancer.
According to Singapore Cancer Society, cervical cancer is the tenth most common cancer among women in Singapore, with nearly 200 new cases and around 70 deaths each year. Despite these numbers, cervical cancer is one of the most preventable and treatable cancers—especially when detected early. Regular screenings, such as Pap smears (or Pap tests), are essential in identifying abnormal cell changes before they develop into cancer, significantly improving the chances of successful treatment.
